The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially published the notification for the recruitment of various posts under RRB Isolated Category CEN 08/2025. A total of 312 vacancies have been announced through this recruitment drive.

The notification was released on 29 December 2025, and the online application process will be open from 30 December 2025 to 29 January 2026. Eligible candidates may submit their applications through the official portal rrbapply.gov.in.

Lab Assistant Grade III 39 Passed 12th (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics and Chemistry as subjects.
Chief Law Assistant 22 Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of three years’ experience as a practicing advocate.
Junior Translator (Hindi) 202 Master’s Degree in Hindi or English from a recognized university along with a Diploma or Certificate course in Translation.
Staff and Welfare Inspector 24 Graduation degree with a Diploma in Labour or Social Welfare, or Diploma in Labour Laws, or LLB with papers in Labour Laws, or Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management, or MBA/HR or PG Diploma in Human Resource Management from a Government-recognized institution.
Public Prosecutor 07 Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university with a minimum of five years’ experience as a practicing advocate.
Scientific Assistant / Training 02 Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized university along with at least one year of relevant experience.
Scientific Supervisor / Ergonomics and Training 01 Master’s Degree in Psychology or Physiology from a recognized university with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience.

Exam Pattern

The written examination (excluding Junior Translator post) will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The question paper will be of objective type. A provision of negative marking of one-third (1/3rd) marks will be applicable for each incorrect answer. The total duration of the examination will be 90 minutes.

Junior Translator-Hindi Exam Pattern
Stage Details
Computer Based Test (CBT) A single-stage Computer Based Test will be conducted. The question paper will be framed to assess proficiency in both English and Hindi languages equally. A minimum of 50% questions will be related to language skills, comprising 20% from English and 30% from Hindi. The remaining questions will evaluate General Knowledge, General Intelligence, basic Arithmetic, and fundamental Computer knowledge. The detailed syllabus for the language section is provided in the official notification (Annexure-VII).
Translation Test The Translation Test will be conducted after the CBT and will be qualifying in nature. Candidates up to ten times the number of notified vacancies will be shortlisted for this test based on merit in the CBT, subject to applicable reservation rules. The minimum qualifying marks for the Translation Test are fixed at 60%. This test will not be included in the main examination marks.
Preparation of Merit List The final merit list for the Junior Translator post will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in the CBT. Candidates who fail to secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Translation Test will not be considered for further stages of selection.

General Awareness Current Affairs, Indian Geography, History and Culture of India including the Freedom Movement, Indian Polity and Constitution, Indian Economy, Environmental Issues related to India and the World, Sports, and General Scientific and Technological Developments.
General Science Questions based on Physics, Chemistry, and Life Sciences up to the 10th standard level as per the CBSE syllabus.
